The Saints Planet League Cup. Tournament Terms & Conditions

The Saints Planet League tournament (“Tournament”) is open to all UK residents who are supporters of Southampton Football Club and aged 16 or over, or those who are under the age of 16 with parental permission. It is assumed that entrants under the age of 18 have received parental consent to sign up for the Tournament and accept these terms and conditions.

To participate in the Tournament, participants must create an account on the Planet League platform, choose from a series of activities available on the platform, and upload a photograph which evidences them completing the selected activity. Participants can complete as many activities as they like to score more goals and climb the league table.

All photographs submitted for goal-scoring purposes will be reviewed by Planet League's "VAR" system, which will check for authenticity. Goals which are not authentic or for which photographs are uploaded that are deemed inappropriate (by Planet League in its absolute discretion) will not be counted towards the participant's score.

Members of staff from Southampton FC (Southampton Football Club Limited, company number 00053301) and its group or associated companies, Utilita or Planet League (or anyone else connected with the tournament) can take part in the Tournament, but are not eligible to win any prizes offered in the tournament.

There are prizes available for players who score the most goals during the campaign. The Tournament participant who meets the eligibility criteria set out in these Terms and Conditions (including, without limitation, clause 4) and:

has scored the most goals out of all eligible Tournament participants at the end of the Tournament will win: a Meet & Greet experience at Staplewood Training Ground (see Additional Prize T&Cs below for more details);

has scored the second most goals out of all eligible Tournament participants at the end of the Tournament will win: two hospitality tickets to a match at St Mary’s Stadium (see Additional Prize T&Cs below for more details);

has scored the third most goals out of all eligible Tournament participants at the end of the Tournament will win: a Southampton FC 2022/23 replica home shirt signed by members of the Southampton FC Men’s first team.

In the event of any ties, the relevant winner will be randomly drawn from the participants on equal goals.

Additionally, everybody who has signed up and scored at least one goal in the Tournament will be entered into a pool after the end of the Tournament, from which one winner will be drawn at random to win one £60 Gift voucher for the Southampton FC Stadium Megastore or online store. Individuals may only hold one Planet League account and multiple entries or accounts for the purposes of this prize are not permitted.

If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and Planet League shall be entitled to select another winner.

The tournament will commence at 0000 on 1st April 2023 and will end at 1159 on 22nd April 2023.

Tournament winners will be contacted by email within 5 days by Planet League. If a winner doesn’t respond then another participant will be chosen. The tournament may be suspended or cancelled at any time by Planet League, Southampton FC or Utilita without prior notice.

By participating in the tournament, participants agree to have their name and photograph used for promotional purposes by Southampton FC, Utilita or Planet League.

By creating an account on the Planet League platform, participants agree to the terms and conditions of the platform, which can be found on the platform itself.

Participants under the age of 16 must seek parental permission to take part in the tournament, with the parent signing them up. Anybody over the age of 16 can create their own account.

The league table will be organised by the participant who has scored the most goals.

Activities on the platform have "cooldown timers" on them, which limits how many times per day, week or month a participant can complete that specific activity. Tournament participants must not seek to evade or override these limits or otherwise cheat in any way.

By participating in the tournament, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Southampton FC, Utilita or Planet League are not responsible for any technical issues or problems with the Planet League platform which may affect participation in the tournament.

Southampton FC does not accept any responsibility for any damage, loss or liabilities, loss of earnings, injury, missed opportunity or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Tournament. Southampton FC further disclaims any liability for injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Tournament. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of Southampton FC for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.

Planet League will process the personal data of participants in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR. Participants' personal data will be used for the purposes of administering the tournament, including contacting winners and providing prizes. By participating in the tournament, participants consent to such processing of their personal data.

Participants will be able to opt-in to share their email with Southampton FC for marketing purposes when signing up for the tournament.

Participants have the right to access, rectify, and erase their personal data processed by Planet League, as well as to restrict or object to such processing. To exercise these rights, participants should contact Planet League through the contact details provided on the Planet League platform.

Additional Prize T&Cs

All prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and cannot be sold.

Meet & Greet

In the event that the winner of the Meet & Greet prize is aged under 18 one of the winner’s permitted guests must be aged 18 or over and all individuals attending the Meet & Greet must have the consent of their parent/legal guardian to attend.

We reserve the right to screen entrants against club banning records and select another winner where the first drawn winner has received a club banning order. Travel and accommodation will be at the winner’s own cost and will be the winner’s sole responsibility to arrange.

Hospitality Tickets

In the event that the winner of the tickets is aged under 18 the winner’s guests must be aged 18 or over.

All travel and accommodation required to use the tickets shall be at the cost of the winner and the sole responsibility of the winner to arrange.

Signed Shirt

The winner of the signed shirt will be required to provide an address for the prize to be posted to.

Store Voucher

Use of the voucher is subject to the Southampton FC Retail Gift Card Terms & Conditions, see below.

Southampton Football Club Retail Gift Card Terms & Conditions

Gift Cards may only be redeemed in Official Southampton FC retail stores (“Stadium Megastore”) or on Southampton FC’s official online store.

Southampton FC cannot accept any responsibility for Gift Cards that are lost, damaged or stolen. Gift Cards will not be replaced, nor will the holder be refunded in these circumstances.

Gift Cards that are damaged, altered or cancelled will not be accepted.

To check the balance of your Gift Card please ask a staff member in store.

Balances will expire 24 months from the date that the Gift Card was last used to make a purchase. Any remaining balance will be deducted on expiry.

Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for cash and no change will be given. Any remaining balance on a Gift Card following a purchase can be used for future purchases.

Gift Cards remain the property of Southampton FC and are not a check, guarantee, credit or charge card.
